This is an awesome picture. The crow is incredible and the expression on the girl's face is so innocent and child like. I also like the lighting in the picture. With it she has given even more depth and beauty to her painting. Yeah, this is one of my favorites. These Dreams

I fell in love with this painting the moment I saw it. It wasn't until I found Annah's Artwork on Elfwood that I found out who painted it. This is a great piece and says so much. Phantom Walks At Noon'The rim of the sun slide from behind Oceanus. Light spilled across the dunes. The Avardon gave a low moan of despair. His eyes were dull and glazed. His flesh shrank and melted beneath the skin. Aeriel could see his bones. 'What is it?' she cried softly. 'What is happening?' The starhorse moaned again and shuddered. 'Avaric!' he cried. 'Avaric, Avaric!' (From 'The Darkangel' by Meredith An Pierce)

I love the feathers of the bird in this one. The mouth and eye though makes me think it is in alot of pain. Wonder if he is breathing out fire and it hurts. The girl doesn't seem to be concerned though. The Moon and Her

This is another great pciture. I love the colors, the bats, the jacket, and the background which seems to fit the picture perfectly. Halloween"'Tell me who I am.' 'Halloween,' she said. I'd been rooting against it, but when the word came, it was almost a relief. I was Halloween. Hell, I thought. A rose by any other name. 'And who is that?' 'You are my Lord Halloween, Prince of the Marshes, King of Kadath, High Sovereign of the Orange and Black.' (From 'Idlewild' by Nick Sagan)

Why do I have a feeling Mobbie will end up liking these... ;D Anyway, Shan, I like the pics you've so far posted. I'm not sure I really have a favorite right now, though Halloween draws my eye. I think all of them work for me to some extent. I really like the look of the pegasus in the second one, though. Hutchings has a good eye for creatures, I notice.

Great find; I love all these thus far. I knew Phantom Walks At Noon already, but not the artist... though I seem to remember her website. I have one or two papers with this one painting, too, somewhere. I wish she would have painted the girl's face's details a bit sharper, or at least the eyes, in These Dreams though... It's not a big thing, but it stroke me at first and the picture would be quite perfect otherwise... I really love her website design and her use of color.

She has done good with the lighing in most of her paintings. See seems to be able to focus it just right to set the perfect mood. Are you hinting about them leaning towards the darker side instead of light and playful? ;D

Phantom Walks at Noon, I think is my favorite painting by her. I'm not sure if it is style or what, but she seems to blur alot of her faces just a little. It is a great picture and I love the crow in it. And color does seem to be a strong point of hers. And I agree her website is very good. Glad you like her work Fille.

Probably for the same reason that I do. ;D In a way she seems to do better with the creatures than she does with people especially the faces. As Fille pointed out, for some reason they seem to have a slight blur to them. Halloween is the one that I saw that drew me to look for more of her work. Although if I had known she painted Phantom Walks at Noon I would have hunted her down earlier.

Awesome pic!!!!! I love what she has done with the bottom of the cloak and all the black. The tiny bit of white around the edge of the girl almost makes her look like she was cut out and placed in the picture. A great way of bringing the light into this picture. I also like the way she has done the people and the building in the background. Unshadows

Yikes, this one hurts. A very good painting though. Again it shows her talent for painting creatures. All these things we used to swallow whole..."Because I did once swallow a wasp that stupidly flew into my mouth..." Maybe I should start eating wasps if they inspire paintings like this. ;D

Again I am drawn to the animal in the picture. The horse is great. I am beginning to think that she makes the face of the person slightly blurred on purpose. I can imagine what the reason would be though. Tons of atomsphere in this picture. Love the hint of blue. The armor isn't bad either. Armor is hard to get just right though, so I think she did good. Spectres in the Fog"Come to the dark places below the water falling, And listen through the silver mist of ghostly voices calling."

This is another one of my favorites. Look at the detail to the crows, the flowers the trees. I also like the way she framed in part of the picture with the big tree and the roots. She has a great feel for composition. The colors are perfect too. I could see Ash running around in a forest like this. Lost"Another rpg character by the name of Antarios, lost in the woods."

Some more good pieces, Shan. I really love Unshadows too, I must confess. I love the look of the girl in this picture. I can see there's a story behind her, and one perhaps worth exploring one day. There's a sense of sadness in the girl's face, and yet an element of danger to her too. The atmosphere is really well done. The others are well done, and I can see what you mean about the animals seeming less blurred out. I think most of her humans just lack emotion, sadly. Still, she's good at background and tone.

AMAZING! I LOVE THEM! LOVE THEM!!!!! SHAAAAAN THANKS FOR POSTING THEM! Whoa, these are really, really good, and the theme of them all is very much to my liking. They are all so good, that it's hard to rate. But I have managed to fix an "order of awesome-ness" Here goes- from best to worst of the best Halloween- It's simply stunningly good, I have seen many pics with effects, backgrounds, or even the same feeling, but Halloween himself is AWESOMELY well done. Love it. Unshadows- This one almost took the winnerprize, because it's so dark, and shadowy I really like the weapons she carries, nicely drawn. And I think her jacket is cool too. Dark is the moon- Well, mages.. They always end up on the top 3/ top 5 on my list, always. 'Specially mages in dark-red robes, casting forbidden spells These dreams- WAAAAH, what a cool crow-man Lovely. The placement in the picture is perfect. Phantom walks at noon- Hey, that's cool drawing, like it, like it. The horse's bones look a bit artificial, but still cool! The rest get to share the loosers-prize (which, with this heavy competition, is a high prize anyhow!) I really enjoy these pictures, many of them will end up as my backgroundpics Thanks again for posting, and try to get more of this art!
