Yah Tottenham has been a surprise for me this year. I thought they would be up contending with pool and arsenal for 3rd. How many games are left in the season now anyways?

8, unless I remember wrong. Give or take one game . And despite a sucky first half of the season Tottenham is up there fighting for a top 6 place, and they're currentlly playing really good. If they keep that up next season they WILL be fighting for a top four place... Übereil

West Ham 1 Arsenal 0... I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. If we can turn over Arsenal twice in the same season and still get relegated... Just ARGH! ;D

Ferdinand! What did he do?! On the first goal he failed to take the attacker and let him get inside of him, nott o mention Vandersar's horrible punch out into the middle of the box. And the 2nd goal? i dont know who to blame for that one. Ferdinand for not looking where he passed it, or vandersar for getting out of position.
I have to ask though, was anyone else who watched the United game frustrated by how many times they launched the ball on long passes? everytime they did that they just gave possession away, but then they get the ball back, and do it all over again. i couldnt believe i was watching United. the OG was a shame because of the late goal would have equalized, but ahh well. Chelsea now only 3 points back.

The first goal was VDS's and Ritchardson's (for dropping the ball so easilly. But it's not easy when you're a talentless loser like Ritchardson is). The second goal was just the last thing necessary for an utter disaster of a game. No one reatched normal standard (exept Ritchardson), and with some luck we still would have won. We were the better team for about 75 minutes, after that they went ahead with some nice pressing which left us stunned. But well done Pompey, they did their job at least.

Harry Redknapp is one of the best managers in the game, IMO. Any team he's with will always be dangerous. I'd love to see him managing England.
As for WH - never underestimate their ability to be relegated with a good team... ;D

Not that it was any tactical triumphs that ensured the victory for Pompey today (exept maybe the last 15 minutes)...

Good news for English football generally, that. Ronaldo is just getting better all the time, and he cheats less than he did, too. If he'd only cut the cheating altogether he'd be one of the greats.

West ham 1 - 0 Everton...they might just make it.
Pool 2 - 0 Wigan..well third place is surely ours now after Spurs and Arsenal drawing 2-2.

West Ham are doomed... They just haven't accepted it yet. We've lost too many games against easy opposition when it really counted, and now it's far too late. Chelsea will be scenting blood in the water after Man U drew, though. This'll make the endgame really great

What will happen if they eventually end at the same number of points? I know United's ahead in the goal department but does that count first or would it be games won against the other?
In Denmark it's goals first iirc but I don't know how it is in the PL.

I THINK it's goal difference first... So goals scored minus goals conceded. After that it would go to results against each other. After that I think they'd have to flip a coin for it ;D

But if it IS goaldifference, Chelsea stand no chance, since United is about 20 goals ahead of them. That's what Chelsea gets for their gravedigging football . Übereil
