I think it's only 14 actually... ;D But yeah, I'm pretty sure it's goal difference - the reward for playing good attacking football

Wow. When Everton scored 2-0 I thought we were done for in the league. When Bolton scored 2-2 I thought Chelsea would just get ahead again. Then we got 2-1 on luck. Then we got 2-2 on luck. And then Rooney scored 3-2, and suddenlly we were increasing the gap instead of loseing it . Well, the leage looks home now. But it's looked home for most of the season, exept for the last few games... Übereil

Five ;D. If Chelsea lose points vs Arsenal away (veeery likelly ;D) and we win vs City, it's in the bag. But as long as we beat City it's pretty much there.

Well done, Man Utd. As much as it pains me to say it they were the best side this season. FA Cup Final should be interesting as the game last night looked like a reserve game. But, despite only winning one cup so far, I still veiw the season positively because of the injury troubles we've had. Sadly, we've got to wait 3 months without football but at least all the players will come back fresh, ready to put the blue ribbons back on the Prem trophy.

Heh, if you meant the Terry injury... You're Chelsea! You've spent 2 billions (or how much is it?) on players, one player just shouldn't mean that much! I find it funny that United with seven defenders injuried still defended better than Chelsea with only John Terry injuried. Übereil

You can't simply call the England and Chelsea captain and probably the best defender in the world 'one player'. Not only that, Cech, also the best goalkeeper in the world, defensively weakend the team considerably.
Looking past them, we've had many more players injured many times this season (Joe Cole, Robben, Shevchenko etc.) and even amongst all the apparent boardroom troubles we still come out in a respectable position.
(And btw, we're not even near the billion mark yet alone two billion. I think the phrase 'bought your way to victory' is a very easy way to dismiss good management, unrivaled team spirit and good leadership.)

Well... You pretty much bought an entire new team in two seasons time (save Terry, Lampard and Cole. And your reserve keeper.), so I think 'bought yourself to victory' fits REALLY well, since that is exactlly what you did. Good management, great leadership and good teamspirit (unrivaled is stretching it...) would have been nothing without all those millions. Heck, you wouldn't even had HAD that management!
And Terry didn't make the PL team of the year. Ferdinand and Vidic did. And we had the both out. At the same time. Together with Evra, another PL team of the year player and Gary Neville, OUR captain and yet another PL team of the year player injuried AT THE SAME TIME. And IIRC Van Der Sar was injuried sometime here too. And did we collapse defensivlly? No. And we've only spent a fraction of what you have on players in the last two years. With that in mind, wasn't it kind of a mistake not to get a decent replacement for John Terry?
And I think the word billion is a bit difficult... IIRC you've spent about 2 000 000 000 sKr, which very roughly translates to £ 200 000 000. That is a lot of money. It's so much it's ridiculous (what would it have done to the situation in Africa for example?). On a Swedish forum there is an Arsenal supporter who talks about economical dopeing. I find it to be a nice word. ;D

For all Chelsea's spending, their most important signing is undoubtedly Mourinho. Chelsea have a very large squad, which means they have no real excuse for faltering, but without Mourinho powering them on they'd not be half the team they are. I think Terry is over-rated. He's solid, but there are far better defenders. I'd say Lampard was far more important to Chelsea, and Joe Cole too. I think what hurt Chelsea most was the backroom brawl between Mourinho and Abramovitch, honestly. When a team believes in the coach as much as Chelsea do in Mourinho, any hint that he's about to be sacked is going to hit morale badly. Next season we should hopefully see a resurgence by Arsenal and Liverpool, too, which should make the title race very interesting indeed

FA Cup final: Boring as it gets. Chelsea 1 Man U 0 after extra time, but both sides were very poor.

Poor is the wrong word, because they both defended well . But I was suprized at the lack of desire to win (exept in Rooney. More than once did he allmost run straight through three-four Chelseadefenders). Übereil

Neither had much to defend against. Like you say, Rooney was the only one trying to win it, and even he wasn't that impressive.
The rest were playing not to lose, which is boring.
