If this was the PPK, we'd have already changed this entire thread's focus to that of cupcakes. I shall have it happening, young'ins.
I like ones with chocolate. Mm, chocolate.

No but seriously, can we open the contest again? Contests are fun! Like cupcakes!

Cupcakes where the icing is as high as the cake.

Man, I remember the background design with ... the arrows. And my first thought was :"What the hell"? Seriously, EK, why not have a 2nd contest? I'm not trying to [Censored] but I think that there are better ways to get the forum design done than trying to do everything yourself. Or if a 2nd contest isn't up your alley, then... maybe let everyone chip in for designing the theme?

Well, the new button is perfect imho And I think the new colorscheme is ok too. Makes me think of dessert, maybe the cinnamon colors remind me of it ;D But this is way better and more suitable for the eyes to look at Oh and about those stars Fille made, can I have a purple one? ;D

Actually, I love the idea of a new contest. I'd have suggested it long since if I thought anyone would enter after the fiasco that the last one turned into.
Ideally, I figure a new contest every six months or so would help keep the forum looking fresh and allow everyone lots of time to plot their future strategies.
Good idea or bad? And would anyone really be interested in that?
(And if memory serves, BTW, this was the only contest I've ever held at CC...)

OK, I'm not complaining anymore - which is all the praise you can get, for now...

I am going to vote for making this forum be some form of dessert.

I am going to vote for making this forum be some form of dessert. How about a nice, big, juicy, tender steak? ;D

Mmm... how about chocolate ice-cream? ;D Btw, I also like the latest "new" button. The older one was a bit blurry.

I have to admit, I really like the new New button, too. It really stands out and does the job well. OK, so I fluked the colours, but it's the result that counts! ;D

As the colours are right now, it's nice. I missed out on all the colour changing when I took yesterday off. I really like the size of the new "new" button. It was always a pain aiming at the small one.

i like the new colour scheme. if only the background pic complements it colour-wise, would be great. @ Fille -> orange, red, blue look good. green, yellow & white with shadow/outline look good too. Thank you! Since the background color is bound to change, the colors that work are bound to change too. And thanks Flix, Fughawzi and Gal too! Cupcakes would have the same problem as the chaos symbols, too small to be recognizable for what it is. In addition to make us look like a Strawberry Shortcake board. And Gal, of course you can have a purple one... But you need to convince Elliot to change the snowflakes for stars. Actually, I love the idea of a new contest. I'd have suggested it long since if I thought anyone would enter after the fiasco that the last one turned into. The last contest wasn't a fiasco, only its outcome. More seriously, if you set up another contest, it would only be fair to allow re-entering the previous one's submissions in the race though.

Agreed, Fille. Re-entering of old entries would be fine.
Also correct that persuading Elliot to replace the little Chaos symbols would take some doing. I never liked the stars, I just lacked the means to replace them. It'd need better Chaos symbols...

It looks like I missed the drama. Typical I like "new" button but would prefer it in other colors. Still, it's a good idea so kudos for that one, elliot. I'm really not fond of the Chaos symbols but I think a semi regular color design competition is a good idea. Consider me a participant.
