Will... The important thing to me is what the characters would reasonably do. As far as leadership, I don't mind accepting the role. Rasidar will do what he thinks is best for the party at this point. If Stelrein wanted to lead, Rasidar might have been willing to let him. But he certainly will accept command if he believes he's the best choice. I wouldn't have asked for it, but it's not up to me. On weapons... I agree on the glass shard idea. I would add only one thing. If you do manage to pull this off, Rasidar is going to need one of the daggers to craft bows and arrows. We have several good archers, so it'd be to our advantage to at least arm Ash and Loriana. We might be able to use strips of bedding as a string, unless someone can think of a better material. Once that's done, Rasidar would gladly hand the dagger over to someone who can use it. On clubs... proficiency is the right way to go, yes. I think Rasidar would agree with that. I'd like for Cedric to train the rest of us as best he can before we move on. Armor... I'm thinking Cedric should be next, because he's our most proficient fighter with a club. I'm thinking we could armor Loriana and Ash after that, especially once they're armed. However, I am open to suggestions... if anyone can present a good case as to why they should be armored first.

Will says - I believe what Elliot is trying to say Shan, is that you can try any of those things, but you'll have to actually do them in the game before he'll tell you the outcome. Will is right A few weeks. Weapons training, even at the most basic level, is not at all easy. Not least because it requires a lot of training against opponents. I'll let you pick up NON-combat skills at level one fairly fast (Unless they are incredibly complicated) because they are not opposed skills, if you see what I mean...

On the subject of leadership, I think every player should have input, as it is an important decision that will have long term ramifications for everyone in the group. It might even be worth someone starting a new thread just to discuss it.
This certainly counts as a matter of importance, as I'm sure you will all agree.

Probably not a bad idea. I'll start one. Edit: And done. Will, if you'd care to continue the leadership discussion there, please do so.

Will: On the topic of bows, I would believe that human hair twined together tightly would probably make a better bowstring than a strip of the blanket. Should have more resilience, considering some bows are made out of horse hair. It would depend on how long people's hair are.
Sarah: I kinda assumed that Loriana had long hair and kept it in a tight pony tail.

Hair it is, then. Provided that someone is willing to spare some.

Sarah: Just need to ask then. ^_^

Elliot - is it okay for all of us to add padded armor, shield and club to our equipment list or will it be determined character by character? For instance, Stelrein & Rasidar should now be fully equiped, but no one else.

You would need VERY long hair, as you'd have to run it from top to bottom of a bow stave. That's around four feet for a short bow, or six for a long bow - without twining.
Ideally you need gut (Obviously) but I'd allow the use of string or twine if you find any. Strips of blanket are useless for the task.

Everyone - make sure when you add your equipment, to increase your AR. I noticed Steve added the equipment, but didn't increase his AR.

I already fixed it; just remembered after I added the equipment. Still, a useful reminder.

Shan - I'd like for Loriana and Ash to have a conversation while walking around the room. So even if Elliot responds with what we find, I'd like to talk out a bit before we rejoin the guys.

Just found this Sarah. Sorry it took me so long. I'll start checking for stuff like this more often. Your idea sounds great to me Sarah. I'd like that too. I'll let you get it going and I'll jump in. Shan

Shan - not sure if we'll have a chance now. But don't worry. I'm sure we'll have chances in the future for our characters to talk and get to know each other. ^_^
And I recommend regularly checking any thread that has Awakening in the title. I know some players have yet to read the Leadership thread...

Sarah, why not. I didn't see what you posted until after I wrote what I did. Why could we just back up time a little, talk, meet up with Fille's char and then head back to the others. It could be like from your side of the story. Shan

Okay, sounds good to me. But now that I think about it, my character is so shy, she wouldn't initiate conversation, though she does want to get to know people.

Then why don't I take it back just a little and initate conversation with Loriana. We talk, then meet up with Mao, and maybe Konrad's char. Want to try it. It really wouldn't require anything from Elliot. Shan

Sounds good. Just make sure that when you post, you make a note that this conversation happens while Loriana and Ash are walking, before they meet Mao.

I've got a question. At this point in the game, does Ash have to take armor. I was thinking that maybe she could just tear some pieces of blanket and make a make shift outfit. The armor seems to cumbersome for her. Or should she wear it? Shan
