Thanks for clarifying, Glance *** I did contemplate adding in a 'strengths for weaknesses' type system, but I decided not to for two reasons. Firstly, it would be an unnecessary complication that would likely confuse newbies; and secondly the system is already experimental, and the more things I tried to add right at the start the more could go wrong. I have never been particularly fond of the idea, but I won't completely rule out creating an optional system to allow it at some stage. It would be a very easy thing to bolt on.

Elliot, have you heard anything from Konrad? I know he is probably really busy, but I was wondering since he has his character awake if he wants us to interact with her or just leave her be. In situations like this what is normally done. Shan

Sarah: I have a suggestion - we should start new main threads for each new area. For example, once we leave the room, we should start a new thread. This will keep the threads from getting too long and too cumbersome to read through.
New players will find it less daunting to join in because they really won't need to read the earlier posts. They can, but their character won't know any of what happened unless told about it.

Will do, Elliot. I was just checking. Oh, and in which thread are the links to the stats, skills, and other stuff like that. I remember seeing links somewhere to all of that, but I can't find it now. Shan

Probably a good idea, Silva I hadn't expected the thread to get this long, this soon *** Shan - you want the Awakening: Game Rules thread

Me nethier, E. But it's a pleasant surprise. ^_^
Also wondering if you were going to sticky the game rules thread and the character sheet thread. Both are very imprtant to the game, but won't get new posts very often to keep it at the top of the forum.

Thought about it, Silva, I must admit... I wasn't sure how many other games might be running, and stickying everything would be a it much - but as it looks like it's just me & SPS for now... Yeah, I think I will (And I'd go with 'pleasant stunning shock, personally ;D)

Just wondering about one of Max's posts:
Are you talking about Ash? Because if you're not, the one making a commotion at the door is Homm, a male character. The other female character Scimitar has yet to get out of bed.

I don't know about everybody else, but I took it as a typo. That he really meant Homm. Hopefully Max will explain since there is question as to who he was talking about. Shan

Elliot, do our characters need food in the game. I noticed that finding food was listed in the Survival skill. If they will need food, then Ash is starving and will need to say so. ;D And you would sticky the Game Rules thread after I had such a hard time and finally had to ask where the offical skill list link was. Yes, Shan, the characters most certainly do. You've been awake and active for a few hours now, and I was intending a food prompt before too much longer...

Then Ash is going to make it known to the others that she is hungry. ;D Thanks Elliot. Shan

Food had been a thought of mine for a while. It's a definite priority of mine once we move on.

*grumble, grumble* stupid food... you'd think we were all human or something... oh... yeah... we are. ^_~ hehe!
But I doubt survival will help us much unless we walk out into a forest. If we're in some large cavernous area or a huge castle, it'd take us a while to find food.
btw, E - can we tell by the walls/floor/ceiling whether we're in a built structure or a pretty natural room?

Anyone got any building or stone related skills, Silva? Thought not... ;D
Seriously - no-one has even asked in the story thread, yet...

I just wasn't sure whether you had said it at oay point. That thread is quite long to search through for info.

Nope. No-one has yet asked whether the stone looks worked or natural.

I didn't really think our characters would want to eat yet, for my part; it seems to me that after traumas people feel more queasy than hungry. Well, maybe was what happened to them not so much of a trauma then. But if we're in some castle, then there must be food there too. So the survival skill would say "steal" instead of "hunt". ;D

In situations like this what is normally done. Shan Thanks for the concern Shan, i haven't yet involved Sim in the descussion for two reasons, 1. as you will discover she is a very guarded person and doesn't interact with peole she doesn't like or trust. 2. I'm about to get very busy at work and chances are i'm not going to be around much for the next two weeks, typical, but i'll be looking in and interacting when I hear anything she likes. She'll be getting up soon, lazy cow
