Stelrein agrees, "Homm and Cedric would be well suited for searching and studying what they find. If you believe we have lost the element of surprise in this corridor, you and I should go to the doors and open them in turn, to make sure no one lies within. Then the others can follow and search the opened rooms." Stelrein takes a set of clothes, takes off his armor, puts on the clothes and then re-equips his armor.

Loriana smiles as she picks up the hair brush and starts brushing out her tangled locks. She picks up a simple, but pretty hair clip and clips back her long tresses so that they will stay out of her face. She takes the hand mirror and slips it into her pouch, thinking that it could come in handy in the future.
She looks at the footwear and wonders whether she should. On the farm, she was used to going around barefoot, but her few years with Gloria had taught her to wear boots. She decides she better put on something and slips on some simple sandals.
She goes to the bed and looks around it, seeing if anything is hidden about it.

Loriana
Nothing seems to be hidden around the bed.

Satisfied that she had thoroughly searched, she goes into the next room to Mao & Leim, "Excuse me," she says softly, but smiles brightly, "There is a chest in the other room," turning to Leim, "Would you mind opening it and searching it when you are done here?"

Leim looked down and exam the scroll case first and sniffs the skin trying to figure out the animal it came from. He popped the bone cap and pop out the scroll to look it over. “Mao-san come look at these bottle maybe they are potions or something..”
Stood as he read over the scroll to see if it had anything of use on it. “We also have a scroll here you might want to check out.”

Leim
There are two scrolls inside the case. You cannot read what is written on them, but it looks like some real tongue twisting stuff.
The scroll case is prrobably made from cow hide.

Leim eyes narrow a bit he try his best to understand the scroll but he couldn’t make heads or tales of it. “Damn it.. Cant make heads or tails of these damn things.” he sighed and shove the scrolls back in to case then hand it off to Mao.
He sighed as he bent back down in front of the chest picking the clinking bag up and opening it checking the insides.
Leim looked at Lor and nodded."I will get on it Lor-san.."
OoC Scrolls they aren’t in the basic langue or are they just big words?

Leim
The bag contains 12 silver coins, 10 gold coins and 17 copper coins.
(Currency rules: 100 copper = 10 Silver = 1 gold)
The language of the scrolls is not one with which Leim is familiar.

"No, nothing wrong," Mao answers with a half-smile, amused by Leim's manners. "Just curious to see if the effort to open that will pay... Oh yes, I would like to see that ring."
When Leim tells her about the bottles and the scrolls, Mao kneels beside him and takes the scroll case he hands to her. She opens it and takes the two scrolls it contains, examinates them and tries to read what they're about. (Elliot, is there anything else special about them apart from the writings being weird?)

Mao
The two scrolls are written in the language of magic (This is partly what 'Spellcraft' is - knowledge of the tongue used to cast spells) and are spells:
Heat Blast - Lvl 1 - costs 10 mana, does 5 Health dam to target creature. Cold Blast - Lvl 1 - costs 10 mana, does 5 Health dam to target creature.

Loriana looks over Mao's shoulders at the scrolls. She starts to squel in excitment, but clamps her hand over her mouth. Instead she bounces from one foot to another. Finally! Magic! She won't be useless anymore! of course... everyone else will know the same spells... but oh well. Uniqueness wasn't important right now. Knowing something was.
Loriana regains control over her voice, "Mao. After you have learned those spells, may I take them? I'll learn them and then take them to Stelrein, and the others."

"Oh great, it's spells!" Mao tells Leim with a big smile. She's about to put them back in the scroll case as decides she'd learn them a bit later when Lor asks for it. (Elliot, is there anything special to the bone stopper, what kind of bone it is; and does that hint anything that it's made of bone?)
"Hey, take them," Mao says handing the scrolls and the case to Lor. "I'll learn them after."
She then takes the empty glass bottle (Elliot, does it have something to close it?); it will do great to gather of the ichor. She puts it in one of her pouches and takes the bottles filled with liquid in the chest to examinate them. (Elliot, does she know what the liquid is? If she can't determinate it just by sight and if she'll can close the bottles after she'd open them, she opens them to smell what it is.)

Mao
There is nothing special about the scroll case. One of the bottles contains what smells suspiciously like whiskey. The other is certainly a magical potion of some kind, but without a proper lab you'd have a hard time telling what. All three bottles are properly stoppered.

Leim looked at Mao then frown ”Hey I want to learn spells to.” he stuck the money pouch on his belt. “You can show me right Mao-san?” he dances about.
“I was suppose to learn before I was brought here!” he grabs her arm and smiled up at her looking like a goofy little boy. “Please Mao-san I will be really good!” he squeezes her arm.

sitting all alone at the corridor & hearing all the noises from everyone, he thinks that he should just approach the decision makers & offer his services.
.... this .... takes .... too long .... must .... move .... away .... from .... this .... disconnection ....
& so he moves to Stelrein & Rasidar.
"dear sirsss.....", he bows with his stiff smile intact, ".... i .... offer .... my service .... ."

Mao retains a laugh when Leim becomes so excited at the idea of learning the ways of magic. "I'd be glad to," she answers to Leim's supplications. Then she frowns. "However, I was not taught how to teach yet..." Thinking about it seemed to have opened a door into her memory. She remembers that her mother's parents were the mages who taught her the magic she knows (well, knew, she thinks). They had always hoped their daughter would follow their way and tried to teach her to their best, but it was counting without her taste for the wilderness - and her inclination for a certain ranger of the area. So their daughter chose the way of nature and later they had transferred their hopes on their granddaughter, which finally proved to have inherited a little too much of her parents to fulfill her grandparents' hopes. Nonetheless, they had taken her at their home often when she was young and taught her generously what they could. On the other side, her parents and their friend had made the same and she had learned by following and assisting them, but she had not became experienced and learned enough to teach yet; this was one of the last steps and she had not reached it yet when... whatever happened.
All these thoughts flow into Mao's mind within a second. Back to Leim, she adds: "Stelrein and Cedric and teachers... perhaps they could show you. Or show me how to teach so I can teach you magic... ?" The hope of continuing to learn and be able to follow her parents' steps puts a balm to Mao's worries; even if the worse happened to what she used to know and cherished, she could find a purpose to live on, to honor and continue their ways.
Realizing she's all centered on herself, she gathers her toughts and shows the whisky bottle up to the others. "Whiskey," she says. "Or at least it seems so. Ahhh... and that is way more interesting," she adds taking the potion bottle. "That's a magical potion of some kind for sure, but I don't recognize it and couldn't say what it's for without a lab. Maybe does it taste so aweful one needs whiskey to make it pass? In any case it's good to keep!"
Realizing she might better not take them with her in her pouch, she takes the three bottles and put them laying on the bed, in the center so they'd not roll and break themselves. (Elliot, how big and what kind of bottles are they?)
She then goes back to the chest to see what's left in it. Her eyes are drawn towards what seems to be a rumpled silk shirt. "Look!" she says to Lor and Leim. She takes it and examinates it; she thinks she had not seen often such a material... (Elliot, what does she find about it? And is silk a common material in their world?)

Loriana looks at the bottles, but is more interested in the spell scrolls. If Mao wasn't going to learn them right away, it would be better if she took them and passed them around, "Mao. may I take the spell scrolls? I'll learn them and then take them to Stelrein, and the others."

Stelrein turns to Homm, "Sorry Homm, I meant to ask you if you wouldn't mind searching the opened rooms. Just make sure to tell Mao that you've been asked to do so." turning to Cedric, "If what Loriana said was true, there should be writings for you to study. Just make sure to tell Mao that Rasidar and I asked you to help search. If you find anything that would allow you to make copies of the spell scroll, would you mind making a copy? In case anything should happen to the original."

"Yes, that's a very good idea - I will do that, given something to write with, paper I know they found" Cedric responds.
He proceeds down the hall towards Mao and duly reports to her. "Can I have a look on anything written you found now, please - I am a literate, and I may find hidden signs or obscured meanings," he says. Seeing the papers laying around, he remembers his promise to Stelrein, and picks some up and selects those with empty backsides. He smoothes them as much as possible, and asks, "Any of you wouldn't have found something to write with, per chance? A piece of lead or graphite would do, in extremes."
