Yeah, I knew that. Gaia mated with a reencarnation of the Demiurge to spawn the God-Eater, but it was the closest thing I could remember that fitted into Elliot's question. Unless he was talking about Deathurge, who was recently replaced by the Doorman from the Great Lakes Avengers. |

Coz I remember lots of near fatal injuries and torture, but the only death I remember during the Masters of Evil IV Siege of the Mansion was Blackout (I, I think) |

Since I don't think there is a such thing like a bad guy behind everything in the X-Men's 40 years of history, I assume you refer to the one who was behind Morrison's NXM, Sublime. Unless you're talking about something revealed in X-Men: The End. Which I don't follow. |

Ah, gotcha. I was confused for a bit thinking about the Korvac Saga, where most of the Avengers were killed.
Any other? Vertigo, Valiant, Wildstorm, etc are fair game too. As are questions not necesarily about the storyline like 'who wrote X-Men for 17 consecutive years' (Chris Claremont) 'Who were the Image founders' (Liefeld, McFarlane, Lee, Larsen, Silvestri, Valentino and Portacio) 'Can Brian Michael Bendis spell' (no)
