Preferred Between Two Worlds to Broken Mirror - though that went on hiatus a lot too, and didn't really end well, IMO.
Just finished reading through Looking For Group. Starts poorly, but boy does it pick up! I loved it by the end.

Between 2 worlds ... was fun and awesome but yes, the ending sucked. I mean... there was no resolution for that poor guy and the old man was cool! It was terrible to see him die just like that.
Well, broken mirror... had a very lengthy prologue but now, it seems to be getting more interesting.
But still, fainting spells(by someone else but linked from the the broken mirror site) is far more interesting than BM atm.

BM to me seemed to be trying far too hard. 'Look at me! I'm terribly serious and worthy.' Um... No.
Fainting Spells - the art put me off, honestly. It's really not my thing.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, eh? Re-reading Vampirates vampirates.comicgenc.omTotally light on the story but I just love the humor. And Hassan leaves me speechless. Hassan: "What's with the face?" Murphy: "You do realize the flaw in your plan, don't you? Canadian geography 101... Saskatchewan is landlocked. A ferry won't do anything, genius." Hassan: "Tch... details."

Whoa... Rice Boy looks very interesting.... mmm hmmm... I like the few pages I've read so far. Edit: The art is rather rough in the first few pages but it gets much better in a while. www.rice-boy.com/

Currently reading Unicorn jelly which is a whole load of fun. With characters that never seem dull and a lot of depth into it, I've been kept busy for quite a while.

I read the whole thing through in one night. Talk about addictive! Totally weird, but totally awesome.

Yeah it was pretty good and awesome, although I didn't like how certain important characters got killed off so easily, just to preserve the storyline. I think the story might've been stronger if they'd been there until the end even though the creator changed the emphasis on the "daily happenings of a group of folks" to "the great happenings and the story of a civilisation".
Still... it was good. Although I'll try the other stories by the author another time.

Shivae - the tag line is "It's like Bambi - but with carnivores" and that's kinda a good description ;D The Shivae look a bit like raptors, but some of them have wings. They're pretty cool.

Huh, sounds good, EK: I need a break from LS before my head spins from that massive data overload of infinite characters and surprising plot-twists. (Just when you think you'd got the next twist down pat, the plot throws you off again.)

Awesome, isn't it? ;D I needed a break, too, so diligently searching for more web comics seemed like a plan ;D

It isn't just awesome, it's just damn brilliant in the application of various strategies and aspects of war and the villains are mostly just people stuck in the wrong path. Had they been in other careers and were more positive, heck... their countries would've really prospered, I think.

Yes. that's what I love about it myself. I could live without a lot of the fighting, easily. It's the story and the characters that engage me. The writer absolutely understand how to create believable motives and credible character.
I've played many, many games I paid money for that are inferior to it.

Heh... yeah, the fighting: so much keyboard mashing. Oh well... I guess I can't complain too much about that. RPGmaker is one of the few low cost game engine tools that're probably suitable for indie developers. I think there're AGS, GameMaker, WinterMute and a few other engines but if I'm not wrong, RPGMaker is the most suitable for a RPG game since most of the others concentrate more on "adventure games". Anyways, I emailed Scf and asked him if he's going to create a new game. I really hope he will. And oh man, now that I got my own transportation in LS, it's a lot easier than going alll the way back to Lunei Village and pleading with said dude to gimme a ride.

Ah, you got the first transport? Well done (Also, let me know if he answers, please... I wanna know if he'll make more games, too

EK: On further investigation, here's a list of games created by him. (EDit: apparently, the new one is a demo of a game to be released in Q3 2008. Well maybe not Q3, given how there's not much news about it and how there's no site.) freeware.remakes.org/index.php?a=1&sz=&rand=0&sl=&d=SCF

Demo time! Coolness Didn't think there'd be many. Creations of that quality must take years.

Demo time! Coolness Didn't think there'd be many. Creations of that quality must take years. From a thread cache pulled off archive.org: web.archive.org/web/20080130093848/http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=2666557 Go Team Venture! posted: At any rate, to the maker of Last Scenario: WHEN IS YOUR NEW GAME COMING OUT? Q3 2008 at best . Last Scenario took exactly a year to finish, with two more months of playtesting, and I expect Exit Fate to be even more work. I'm currently maybe 1/5th through the story, which isn't a lot, but a lot of time was spent on writing the battle system and other custom stuff. In any case, it'll take a good while. For now though, I can show a few new screenshots.
