That sucks, kitty. What's blocking your visa and your de facto status?

@ Eli - thanks
@ Handy - we'd need proof that our relationship isn't fake - to do so, you need stuff like rental contracts, shared bankaccounts, trips you did together (preferably with photos..), Post/holidaycards addressed to both of you etc.
We have the shared rental contracts and we just changed our (german) bankaccount but we can't provide any other proof on the more personal level - we simple aren't family people (neither of us), so we don't get Holidaycards and we have no money to go on trips/concerts/theater/etc, the only trip we did in Germany together so far, was a singing gig of myself - so that doesn't help.
We also need at least 2 "witnesses", meaning two people that testify in an official statement that BF's not just seeking some cash by taking a foreigner in. Those witnesses have to be australian citiziens and they have to go to a justice of peace and swear an oath.
We can't take his mum for it, because she actually was our landlord in Oz, we can't take his dad cause he's an idiot... his sister is living in China and has no access to an australian-testified justice of peace and his bro, although we lived with him, doesn't really had all that much to do with me.
His grandpa is sadly too old to get into so much stress and our shared employer would do it but is only one person.
There's his sister's BF (we were friends with him) but sadly, he's native chinese and not yet an australian permanent resident. MEH.
That's the problem when you are reclusive, you don't have enough people to justify your relationships......
Any other people who we both know (that's the requirement for witnesses) are German, British or Chinese - therefore useless for the cause (and stupid enough we know much more people here in Europe than we ever knew in Aussieland :/ )
I also can't apply for any other visa, I'm not secretly related to australians, I'm not a member of the commonwealth (gooood save our graaaacious queeeeen), I'm not allowed to study and I've got no jobskill that is outstanding enough to make any employer hire AND lawfully support me. The charity I worked in would actually support me but they are a non-profit organisation and therefore fall out of the eligible supporter list for foreigners.
If I wouldn't hate children so much, I'd just get pregnant... duh. :bleep:

Sorry Nero... I already committed to one here that I don't even get to hold on to, so... Kitty, hope you'll either find someone else or another acceptable solution.

I have two questions for our 3 Gods of Chaos here: Before when you posted something, you got redirected to your post, now you have to scroll up yourself to look at it, why is that changed? If it's been changed, can it be turned back the way it was? Please And second question: Why is it snowing again??? Got up this morning to find a thick layer of snow again. I have to drive to Mortsel (near Antwerp) for a movie shoot, so the snow has to be gone by tomorrow! (as a God you can change that right?) ;D

Gal, have you changed your browser? That might be what's making the difference for you. If it's not, it's something ProBoards did, which means it is out of our hands. Sorry...
As for the snow... Sorry, but as a Texan, Steve is fascinated by the stuff and he thinks everyone else is, too! So he keeps sending snowstorms everywhere! I'd tell him to quit, but, ya know, can't undercut my deputy! ;D
(If you're visited by a wandering moose, blame Fille. They are her spies... ;D)

Oh, while I remember:
Kit: you are a citizen of the EU who is living with a citizen of the Commonwealth. There's one country that is NOT likely to kick the pair of you out and that's Britain. Which is a really bad place to live right now, but beats nowhere!

It's not a change of browser, as I didn't change mine and am not sent back to my posts anymore either (not that I mind it personally, since I preview them before submitting). As for the snow, the world is upside down it would seem... In Europe and the US they have amounts of snow beating records, and here today we barely have a foot high left on the ground. And it's slowly melting. I would say "sorry for sending you our usual snow"... But I don't like to lie. ;D

I've been snowed under, yes, though not in the literal sense, Gal. Not sure the moose idea is such a good one, though... the Dane weighs more than the moose. ;D

The moose has bigger ... antlers ;D

The last time Fille sent an elite moose team after Peter, he challenged them all to a quaffing contest. No beating a Viking at quaffing, sadly, so they returned home in shame... ;D

;D
I just got back from a tv serie set or movie set, whatever you like to call it. i had to be an extra today for a new tv serie called: The Divine Monster (Het Goddelijke Monster) written by Tom Lanoye. the scene i had to be in was being part of a holy communion that took place in the early 70's. We had to dress up, hair and make up from that period, so of course i loved doing that! But sadly enough, due to our contract with that studio, I'm not allowed to post any pictures yet. But i can tell you this, it was weird walking around in clothes that colourful ;D Oh on the down side, we were all freezing our butts off in that church, cuz the event should take place in springtime while it was snowing outside and no more then 12-13°C out there, so we were all soo cold! But it was fun to do and you get paid as well ;D

Good to see you Steve! We all need to catch up in the chat one day, before I leave. Very much so, definitely. Things are getting a little calmer these days, so we'll see. Sounds like you're doing well in the meantime, which is good to see. And congrats on the TV appearance, too.

Btw, as the Search function on this board ever really worked? Sometimes, it does work for me and sometimes, it doesn't.

Oh btw, appearently no one seems to care about what they asked us about not posting pics so i uploaded the entire album to Facebook, I just didn't title it with the name of the movie. Have a look if you want, but only facebook friends are allowed to see it. I'll upload some of them into Chaos, in the members photographs section

The mooses are just a distraction while the rodents do the real job unnoticed. Gal, if you found the clothes disturbingly colorful, then they surely must be! ;D As for the Search function... I used to have good results with it, but I was searching for something the other day and it wouldn't find it even though it should have. That seems to be a case of someone somewhere messing with the system to "improve" it but broke it instead. In the mean time, you can also use the Google search at the bottom of each of the board's pages.

Hey you young folk - in the seventies we had to be colorful! After all, we wanted to be individualists, special, unique - non conformist* * which resulted in us wearing what a German folk bard cynically joking in one of his songs has called the 'non-conformist uniform' (parka and blue jeans)

This is why I just stick with jeans and a t-shirt, trends and fads are too much effort...
