Letting you all know that another party starts since I'll be sort of inactive for a few days. Yesterday I had a little accident with my bike on the way to school. Somehow my foot slipped off the pedal and I ended up landing flat down on the street. The results are: a bruised left wrist, a bruised left elbow, a bruised right thumb and scratches along my face. That doesn't sound too bad, but really, it was a dramatical fall and it freakin' hurt. Yesterday I was sort of handicapped. That elbow hurt like hell (and no, I'm not a pansy when it comes to pain ;D) so I couldn't do anything with my left arm. And that thumb kept me from using my right hand properly too. Today the pain in my thumb is almost over so I have at least one arm to use. I was actually quite scared the first moment after I, well...landed. It's really freaky if you feel your face touching the ground. My first thougt was "my teeth...my teeth!". It took me a few seconds before I felt my mouth was okay and then I finally started realising that I was lying on the ground. My second thought was "Dammit my clothes are dirty! I gotta go back to my student room and change...". And only then I felt the rest of the pain in my body ^^ The shock of such a hard fall really makes you paralyzed for a few minutes. Someone from school brought me to the first-aid room and only after getting those scratches on my face cleaned out and lying down for a few minutes I started feeling the pain in my wrist, elbow and thumb. Luckily after a good night of sleep most of the pain is over. I can use my right hand properly now and the left arm doesn't hurt that much anymore too. Although I still have to keep it still and refrain from using it. Everything should be healed within a few days they said at the hospital So, enjoy the absence of new posts from me (I HATE typing with one hand ^^), but know that I'm still around...haunting you with my telepathic powers

Oh, i know this kind of accidents. Long, long ago, a friend of mine and me, we were driving by bike alond a bike-way that was next to a walking way, with high speed. At one point, both handle bars of our bikes touched, which resulted in quite some instability during high speed. We crashed, being intertrwined betweek bikes and limbs. A nearby walking couple was totally uninterested in our "accident", and walked by. If I hadn't asked them from lying beyong my own bike if they could help us and rise our bikes from us, they would've walked by, further on. Looking back, I find this quite funny - but also very, very stupid. It could've been worse. Two other accidents in my youth *had* been worse. I fell with my bike into the ground (in one case inside an unfinished, skeletal supermarket building, to which I often go buying food) , which resulted in (in each accident) one knee being bruised so much that it was just bleeding. I had the feeling then that almost all skin was gone there. In both cases I had to war a bandage over several times. Inside this unfinished building, I even retained my humour, saying I wanted to "phone home" (like E.T. did). That's over 15 years ago or even more. Besides: Last Sunday I think i also had to type with one hand: I cut myself into the left thumb ... It is quite healed now, but not completely. I'm glad, nevertheless, I can use it again, I'm a bit sensitive towards that.

Awww, glad you're ok and that it was nothing really bad, though these kind of things are a pain (in both senses). When you get injured like that, whatever it is, you can pretty much never go wrong with putting ice on as soon as you can; it helps prevent swelling and inflammation, eases the pain and speeds the recovery. Can be repeated a few times if it helps too. I'm done with my big weeks, so you should see me more often around now; aren't you lucky. ;D

Yesh, things are already getting better The thumb is as good as healed (I can type slowly again) and the elbow too. It only hurts if I hold it in positions I normally never hold my elbow ( ;D maybe when sleeping). The wrist will need some more time, but I can already use it if I'm watchful. So the party's already over I'm afraid ^^

Thanks a latte It's all healing quite fine. And if it isn't, I'm just denying the pain, having to miss one arm has been annoying enough already. Now it seems that we'll be going on smallband soon at this student house, I'm afraid you all have to miss me again. Don't worry, if I'm gone for a longer while I'll bring something better than two lousy cookies when I'm back

What are smallbands? Hope you have fun, at least... Small bands is when you can't download anymore. When you're off your limits of downloading, then you're put on, smallband. You can barely use the internet and uploading images takes a lot of time. Stupid limited internet in Belgium

Hmm everything seems okay, no smallband at all... Lots of internet providers here give you a certain amount of download space for a one month period (60gig or so). When you exceed that limit you can either buy more download space for that month or you're set on smallband, which means much slower internet and downloads. So slow that it's almost impossible to surf proper on the internet. But I guess the 'new month' started here so everything should be okay. Did Peter bore the ... out of everyone already? Poor guys

Lol, I thought smallband was some sort of school activity/tradition. Good to hear you didn't then. ;D
