You did more than enough, Gal. I'd be very happy that someone like you was around if I was the "victim". Thx Hildor, that really made me feel better And thx to Elliot and Ubs as well. Meanwhile he apologised to me btw. But I'm not sure if i would be able to do the same if it should happen again, I'm very sensitive to critisism and gets nervous under it.

Even when the critic is manifestly wrong? I'm pretty sensitive to criticism myself, but only when I feel it holds a measure of truth. Completely wrong criticism is an annoyance and nothing more. Maybe you should embrace that idea, Gal!

It's difficult to know what a person suffers from and doing too much can worsen things in case your diagnostic is wrong; doing what you can and not doing more than what you are sure will help is really the best you can do. For the future, there are many sources of first aid lessons, some even free; if you feel that the experience and stress might make you block, perhaps the base there could help you regain confidence (and give you ground to face such situations better, crisis and criticism on your ways alike). Nero now talks a language I don't understand.

One of the things I've noticed is that people will critise people more when they are doing something that they feel that they should have been doing themselves. It's a form of making them feel a better person.
What you did was the right thing, with the right intentions. Don't forget that, and don't let people guilt you into (not) doing things just because they seem to have the moral high ground. As more often than not, those that seem that way will turn out to be standing on quicksand.

Thx guys, I really do feel much better now. I called the police to find out how the woman is doing, but they couldn't give me any information about her. And I'm not family, so the two cops that were at the accident, are not obliged to give me her name at all. She did tell me that she had no children or a husband, so I kinda want to know if she's fine. I don't even have to talk to her myself, just someone who can tell me how she is. I don't understand why they are so difficult just cuz i'm no family

They can't just release info on people, Gal. For all they know, you could be anyone - a burglar wanting to know if the house is empty; a stalker; a lawyer touting for business - anyone at all.
WE know you're only concerned, but the police can't possibly know that.
They doubtless have a blanket ban on releasing info to protect themselves, too. Say they DID release info to you and the woman took exception to that and sued them? Some people are deeply ungrateful and you never can know how they will react.

Gal, ever thought of a paramedic career? reading your post, i'd agree with Hildor. i'll be so happy for your help & care. I went to school to become a childrens nurse, but I got tired of studying and went to the army instead. You have no idea how much I regret that stupid decision . I could go to school again, but I can't pay my bills if I do.
@ El I know, sometimes I forget that a lot of people have less friendly ideas then I do. But I don't even want to know her name or adress, just if she's fine.

Did I good or could I have done more? I ask that cuz after the incident someone very close to me gave me loads of critisism while I feel that the little i did was at least more then what he did. Gal, without medical training, anything you do could do more damage than good. Keeping them comfortable is probably the best thing you could have done. Regardless of that, one can always pick what could have been done better in hindsight. When you're reacting to a panic situation you can't be expected to come up with bright ideas. Like you said, you actually did something to help. You didn't leave her lying on the ground, unconcious. She left your care alive in the capable hands of paramedics. You did good.

Great thing, gal! At the turn of the millenium, when everybody was exited about entering the 21st century, Egypt Tourist office aired a commercial in Germany that said "Welcome to our 7th millenium!" Have fun and enjoy the sun!
