Reading the 5th and final part of Jean M. Auels books "Earth's children" 'Shelters of Stone' Everything in these books is soo detailed, you can learn how to make a spear, how to hunt, how to make clothes with leather you got from hunting and even how to color it, you can read how to cure people and how to deliver a baby. There is soo much detail in the story that you can almost smell it, it's like I'm in the story. I'll be sad when this serie ends.

Nation by Terry Pratchett.
Rather slowly, by my standards. It's not that it's a bad book, don't get me wrong, but I don't find it as impossible to put down as most of his work.

Foundations Edge, I've been on a bit of an Asimov jag recently. Just finished the collections of Sci-Fi Before the Golden Age.

The Way Of Shadows by Brent Weeks. Very good story, so far, of a young man clawing his way out of the gutters by becoming apprenticed to a master assassin.

Reading "The Last Templar" from Raymond Khoury. The owner of the house I'm renting currently left a few books here that I could have. They are not best sellers, but decent enough. Among them is this "Da Vinci Code" style book. An FbI agent and an archeologist are investigation a mysterious robbery, but every accomplice winds up dead before they can talk to him...

Reading two books for class:
The Kite Runner: Probably the saddest book I've ever read.
A Canticle For Leibowitz: Great book, I'm loving it.

Cochrane: The Life and Exploits of a Fighting Captain by Robert Harvey. A biography of one of Britain's greatest naval heroes. Interesting and informative. Just finished.

Now reading Bloodheir by Brian Ruckley, which is rather good.

Finished Band of Brothers. Now I only still have to make my trip to the Ardennes to visit a few places from the Battle of the Bulge.
One important thing I rememberd is: when I'm having cold, I just have to think of what those guys had to suffer in Bastogne and then I know that my situation can be a lot worse. It actually helps ^^

I bought Requiem by Robyn Young, another book about the Knights Templar, but it's not about conspiracies and other Da Vinci Code things ^^ And also A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, which is part one of A Song of Fire and Ice. I just took a random fantasy series at the bookstore to start reading. An english guy at the bookstore told me it was a very good series (both books I bought were in English).
Can't wait to start reading them.

Reading "Heath, a Family's Tale" Biography from Janet Fife-Yeomans about Heath Ledger. In English btw ;D Nearly finished this book, it was hard to read sometimes because I found words and sentences I had never heard of, but soo interesting to see how Heath was as a person, as an actor and as a father. His death was so sudden, no suicide though, just a bad mix of drugs, like painkillers, anti axiety and -depression pills and one drug that could be related to hard drugs. He seemed to be a person who couldn't deal with being alone, known for his hard work when it came down to being an actor and he hated the paparazzi. Btw, that painting someone posted a while back from Heath? Wasn't painted by himself (I think I thought so) and the theme of that painting was talked over with the painter, so it wasn't a desperate call for help or so. The painter wanted a specific portrait to be able to win a certain gallery price. (forgot the name of it)

I've recently finished the Orphans of Chaos trilogy. It was very interesting. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I've now started one of Stephen King's newer books, Duma Key. As usual, it's amazingly written so far. Thing is, it's 600 pages! I mean, literally, I put it next to an encyclopedia and it was just as thick. You could bludgeon a burglar, no, TWO burglars, with a single swing of this causing instant unconsciousness! I've noticed that ever since Lisey's Story (so that one, Blaze, and this one so far; have yet to read After the Sunset), his stories have become more and more... beautiful mixed in with the terrible. Sublime. The descriptions create a fantasy that is wonderful to behold and terrifying to encounter. So far, Duma Key looks like its going to be a blast! Can't wait for when I actually have time to really work at it! Should be done in a few months. ![O_o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/browraise.png) Killerzzz
