Hmmm... it looks like one of those uhm geographic models of say.. a piece of sandy area(slopes, ripples, etc.) with the underlying areas representing other details. What the heck do you call it: software rendition or something?

Some kind of dust or sand plumes/formations. Like sand dunes or something.

Hehe, it does look like fingerprints. ;D Sonar and Flix are on it though... It's just a resized version of the full-sized picture that can be found here (click). I'm pretty sure it's not a software render, but it probably was a photo enhanced by an imaging software before being uploaded; so Sonar gets it for the precision and being first to mention a sandy piece of land.  |

Fine, here we go:  I originally altered the picture in another manner but it was too hard for even me to figure it out.  Sorry, changed it again...  ;; The point is to make a "difficult" image, not one that's "impossible", right? rolypoly.nfshost.com/personal/oinkish.jpg was the one I removed. |

Actually, whatever should be fine as long as it's not a solid color pic and that there's a slight chance that someone lucky would throw a guess that's on the way. And there's no hurry to post if/when you win. I wouldn't have guessed what was on my picture either. ;D On this one... algae floating on water? |

Well, it deceptively looks like a coastline, or a river bank with adjacent swampy areas. Could be from a delta of a river, actually - if so, not the cleanest one, I would think.
