@jang The variety of life @ek with all the weapon construction and globe smashing is it possible there are enough small pieces to make a curde set of lock picks?, I understand that the small peices or wood might be too brittle.

Not really, Konrad. Both the wood and glass splinters are likely to snap if used as lock picks. You'd need wire or something similar.

EK, can you give me a count how many, hemispherical pieces of broken globe we have spare? Would it be possible to use a couple of these pieces in conjuction with some cloth from the beds to make a rudamentury bolas?

You don't have enough broken spheres, Konrad, but whole spheres are about the right size...

Shouldn't be too hard. Bolas:
Counts as missile weapon. Atts 1 Dam 3 (1 per ball) plus the possibility of entangle, which will reduce target's AR. Entangle occurs if final dam dealt > target's Agility.

Elliot, would it be possible for Scim to show Ash how to make one since she does not have any tutoring skill? I'm still unsure about what can be picked up from other players and what has to be done through tutoring. Also is it possible for Ash to be able to make some kind of foot covering (using blanket and strips of it) for herself or does she need someone to teach her before she could do it. I know you let her make a belt and a pouch for the shard, but I'm not even sure if she could have done that or made something to wear without being taught. Shan

Shan... I tend to work on the basis that some things don't need much in the way of special skills, and those I will let anyone do. Wrapping bits of blanket around your feet is something any of us might manage to do, as is 'making' a crude club (Pick up the nearest large stick) or bolas. Stuff like armour making will always be a special skill, because you have to actually know things and apply techniques in order to get anything that might hold up when hit without collapsing - and sometimes without damagimg the wearer as it shifts at the wrong moment or the pressures get applied at the wrong point. In general. if a task is very simple you can do it yourself, without special skills. I guess the best comparison would be making a skirt: Anyone can wrap a strip of cloth around themselves and create something that will function as a skirt, but without real skill with a needle (Seamstress or Tailor) you'd be unlikely to create something you would want to wear except out of desperation Does that help?

Yes, and thank you. So I wouldn't need instruction on how to throw a globe. ;D Seriously, I got it. Shan

Excuse me; what are bolas?

Bolas are a throwing instrument common in southern America - they consist of strings, weighted at thje end by round objects (could be stones, metal, or else).
They are whirled aroung the feet (originally of fleeing animals) so that they trip and fall.

Thanks, Glance. The dictionaries and Google had been of no help on this one.

Hey, thanks Shan. That's what I thought it was after Glance's explanation. When I searched for it in google/google images, it displayed stuff in spanish, not related to weapons or such; it seems to means a lot of things in this language.

Doesn't surprise me Fille. Seems most words mean more than one thing. Can get to be very confusing. Shan
