Cedric picks up one of the globes and weighs it in his hand. It's light, absolutely seemless, the light within just strong enough not to hurt his eyes.
"I vote for breaking one, if possible, the glass shards should make a decent cutting tool."
{Elliott - as it can be assumed that longhaired people know how to weave a plait in their hair, can we assume it to be common knowledge, and not a skill? This would allow weaving single hairs into a string for the bows}

Scimitar wakes uneasly from her slumber, trying to remember what had happened the night before, she doesn't recall getting into a bar brawl which would usually be the reason she'd find herself in a prison cell the next morning.
Come to think of it she;'s never been stripped and put to bed in one either (or has she...now she thinks about she actually can't remember).
A little distressed about the adverse effect whatever she got up to last night has had on her memory she deicides that caution is in order so she slowly sits up in bed and begins to observe the other prisoners (this is not a prison cell, certainly not belonging to the guard of any town she's ever been in. Why is there someone who claims to be a Knight? what is he doing here? come to think of it what is anyone doing her?
She continues to observe, taking no actionthat would draw attention to herself, at least not yet.

Cedric looks at the crude armour and shields Stelrein had made so far, and shakes his head uneasily.
"That is too cumbersome for me," he tells him. "Could you please make me something like bracers, reinfoced by slim boards of wood?"
He tentatively wields one of the clubs. "Too short, not enough weight at the top, bad grip". But he knows it's the best that could be done with the limited material availble.

Yairn watched as everyone else done something and he was left in the middle of the room.
He knew he could use a sword but he supposed he could learn anything if he put his mind to it.
He couldn't remember fully but he just felt like he preferred the stealthy approach. To remain in the shadows and get the job done that way. But that approach was not one that could be used in this situation by the looks of things.

RasidarYou do not currently have an uncharged globe, only the three obtained by Loriana & Stelrein. GlanceIt's reasonable to suppose you could weave hair together, yes. Assuming you can find any long enough. EveryoneAs all currently declared players have entered the game, you may proceed to explore wherever you wish at your own pace. The exit door is no longer out of bounds

Rasidar moves one of the beds until it's directly under an uncharged globe that's still attached to the ceiling. Rasidar will take the long piece of wood that Stelrein gave him and stand on the bed.
Bracing himself with his shield (to protect himself from glass shards), Rasidar will strike upwards with the piece of wood and hit the globe above him...

Rasidar
There is a kind of 'clonk' noise from the glass. There is no other effect.

When Rasidar fails to smash the globe, Ash looks at him and says "I thought you were stronger than that, Mr. Knight. Are you sure you hit it hard enough?"
Not waiting for a reply she looks at Loriana and says "Come on let's see if we can find anything else in here that might be useful. I think these guys are going to need all the help they can get."
As they start to leave, As looks back at Rasidar and calls "Hey, Mr. Knight, you want me to smash it the next time." She then grins at him and takes off to see if she can find anything else in the room.
***********
As they explore the room, Ash pushes hard on parts of the wall and jumps on parts of the floor. In spots she feels the wall carefully or stoops down and runs her fingers over the floor.
Noticing Loriana looking at her strangely, she says "I'm looking for hidden stuff. Maybe there is a secret door or something in the floor that will open something up. Remember that door you found didn't look like it had been used very much. Maybe they've got a secret way of getting in here and we might just be able to find it."
***********
She then notices a girl sitting on one of the beds and takes off running. Looking back at Loriana she calls "Come on. There's a girl over here."
Approaching the girl, she asks "How long you been awake?" Before the girl can answer though, Ash says "My name's Ash and this is Loriana. We're exploring. There's more of us down there." And she she points back towards the way they've come.
"We don't know how we got in here, but we're getting ready to escape. You can come to if you want." She then proceeds to tell the girl everything that they've been doing, about the guy making weapons from the bed, and a knight guy trying to break a globe and couldn't, and about some guy who claims to be a mage who said he would teach her how to fight with a staff. She keeps talking and talking not giving the girl a chance to speak.
She then stops suddenly as if something ran through her mind. "I wonder if we could unravel this thing and get string for a bow," she says picking up a corner of the girl's blanket. "The strips sure didn't work but if we unravel it we would get long pieces of strings. She then starts picking at the corner managing to work a looser piece of string free. We'll have to take this back and ask Mr. Knight about it. He's the one who's going to make me and Loriana a bow."
She laughs, as she looks at the girl sitting on the bed staring at her. "Sorry," she says "I didn't even give you a chance to tell us your name. So do you remember it? And don't worry if you don't. You will soon. I did."

Ash & Loriana
There are no secret doors, and nothing else of interest in the room, though you will come across Mao & Sim in the process.
(I'm assuming Loriana is going with Ash, Silva, as you said she was only waiting for Ash in order to proceed.)

Mao sees the two women coming to her; one of them seems very enthusiastic while the other seems shy and rather uncomfortable.
"..." As she sees that the excited woman won't seem to le her talk before she's done (which she finds a good thing, after all, having not much to say herself and being eager to learn about that disagreeable situation), Mao decides to stretch herself a bit, to heat her numb muscles, and listens carefully to what the woman tells.
"Well, Mao thinks, it seems that the best way to get out of here will be to cooperate with that weird pack..."
"I'm Mao," the girl answers, surprised to hear herself saying that. But it was right... it was indeed her name. "Mahogany Copperhair." She nods to the two women.
As she shees that the enthusiastic woman is about to start talking again, and that she's already beginning to tear her blanket apart, Mao puts her hand on Ash's arm to draw her attention.
"Just be sure to leave me some, please," she says pointing at the blanket and winking. "As for bowstring, hair would do a better job than that. Horse hair would do great... I remember; I'm familiar with bows too. And horses, obviously!" Looking around, Mao realizes that her feeling of unease comes partly from the fact that she doesn't belong in such kind of places. Yes... her field, it's the great outdoors...
"I will escape with you", Mao says, jumping out of bed. "But before, learning about the others, arming and protecting myself and evaluating the situation seems a good idea."
Showing the globes and the several beds with amber glows, she asks: "Do you think these things could be related in some use?"
As she rolls the blanket to take bring it while following her two new acquaintances, her look is drawn by a bed not far away where another woman just seems to have emerged from a confusing sleep like hers...

Loriana shakes her head, "I don't know.... I don't understand much of what is going on, but I've been thinking... considering that the door has not been used for quite some time and," she looks up at the flickering lights, "No one has come by to recharge the lights... I wonder just how long we've been here. Who can say how long we've been asleep under the amber glow... This is something we should probably talk to the whole group about. For now..." Loriana looks in the direction that Mao is looking and sees the woman waking, "We should go and see how she is doing."

Stelrein considers Cedric's request, "It's possible. The hardest part would be breaking the wood at such a length that it won't hinder your movements. We can then wrap the wood and lash it to your arm to prevent splinters." Stelrein nods, "I think it can be done."
Stelrein turns to Yairn, "What armor would you prefer?"
(E - Stelrein attempts working on wooden bracers for Cedric, does he suceed?)

Rasidar pauses a moment, focusing again at the globe above him.
He spends a moment in silent prayer to the Great Mana. A part of him dislikes destroying an object of magic. It went against his grain. But he realizes that this is a necessary sacrifice for the good of the group. He finishes his prayer with a silent apology to the Great Mana, hoping that It will understand.
Then Rasidar raises his shield again to protect himself. He finally takes his club and uses all his strength in an attempt to shatter the uncharged globe above him...

*this conversation takes place before Ash and Loriana meet Mao. It takes place shortly after they leave the group to search the room for anything else that might be used for a bow"
After teasing Rasidar about not being able to break the globe, Ash and Loriana head out to search the room. "Hey, Loriana, is something wrong? Why are you so quiet all the time?"

Loriana's face turns a little pink, "Um, nothing's wrong... I'm just... just not used to being around so many strangers...." flashes of memory from her childhood go through her mind, "I remember... I remember my father... and growing up on a farm... but everyone was family... and I never left the farm until..." her memory grows hazy. She pauses and then shrugs, "I can't remember more recent events... not yet."

"It's OK, Lor, assures Ash. "I'm not use to being around people either. I grew up in the forest. My friends and playmates have always been the animals."
She stops, waits a moment and then adds "I sure do miss them. We use to do everything together."
She then wrinkles her nose, gets sort of a puzzled look on her face and says "I think my father is the one who taught me to use a bow."
She then looks at Loriana and asks "What did you do on a farm? Did you have lots of animals?"

Loriana searches her memory, "Not really. We had a few horses, cows, chickens, pigs... we mostly took care of crops..." she pauses, remembering another wonderful moment in the orhcards, "And we had a big orchard... lots of different fruits. We were the only farm to have such a variety..." a warm smile comes to her face, "Father said we were blessed. We knew magic. Nature magic. I do not remember any specific spells, but I know we used our magic to aid in the plants' growth."
She looks over at Ash, "Can you remember any more of the forest? The orchard was the closest I ever got to a forest, but there were no animals."

Ash smiles and says "A little."
"It had great big trees, lots and lots of them. What kind of trees I can't remember, but there were lots of them. They made the forest cool and fun to play in," she says with a smile. "I think my house was either in the forest or right next to it. I'm not sure. I can't seems to remember."
Talking about her house causes Ash to remember something. "I use to sneak off when I was suppose to be doing chores or practicing and go play with the animals," she says looking over at Loriana. Then with a smile she adds "I think I use to get into alot of trouble seaking off."

Loriana giggles softly, her eyes sparkling for the first time since she woke up, "I vaguely remember getting into that kind of trouble too. When I was supposed to be doing chores in the house, I would often run out and climb one of the apple trees. I loved apples. I'd sit up there and eat apples till I was stuffed... Then mother would find me," Loriana smiles softly, "While she'd yell at me and send me to bed without supper, I knew she wasn't really angry," how Loriana knew this, she wasn't sure. But it felt true in her heart. Her mother.... her father.... her heart hurt for a moment, but then was fine. Something had happened, but what, she could not remember... She shook her head and smiled at Ash, "I guess we're not that different, eh?"

Ash smiles mischievously and says "Just one big difference. I never shut up and you hardly say a word." And then she laughs.
"I think you're right through. In others ways I think we must be alot a like," she says smiling warmly at Loriana. "Lor, do you know who taught you magic and how to use a bow?"
