Quite a lot of fun, isn't it? Especially with a group. I'm looking forward to the sequel, as soon as it goes down in price.

Hmmm... Getting bored with Shadows Of Amn...
It'd been a long time since I played it, and I forgot the things I really hated about it as well as the things I loved. The two are pretty much in balance right now...
Time to find another 'too tired for Stringhold' game...

Now downloading a ton of BG mods... We'll see how badly they screw my system up ;D

Guess we will. My general rule is not to download anything unless it's WeiDu, if possible. WeiDu mods seem to be generally compatible with each other. Especially the NPC mods and so on. I'm playing with Saerileth, and I find that I rather like her. Saeri is a cavalier, which offers me some useful abilities. She has a ton of talk options, and I think she has at least three separate quests. I also confess to adoring Saerileth's voice, but that's just a side bonus. Personally, though, I would love to get a decent cleric that isn't an official Bioware character. I usually take Viconia, but I don't think that's a good idea with a Paladin of Tyr along. I'm also not terribly fond of Aerie or Anomen. I can only hope some more good mods come out fairly soonish...

Aerie is a very useful character, but spends all her time whining so I want to throttle her. Anomen is pretty good, unless I'm playing an F/Cl myself - which I usually do when my brain is semi-working If I am, he's redundant... I've just downloaded Tutu, which converts BG1 to the BG2 engine, plus a few either Weidu mods that look interesting. Too many of them are .rar files though, rather than the proper zip. So I am ignoring those, as I have zero interest in wasting my time on rar.

Aerie's whining really is what gets to me, and why I prefer not to have her along usually. Her abilities are useful, but I have my tolerance limits. Anomen likewise annoys me, which is why I tend to avoid him. I swear, it's like Bioware went out of their way to make their romance characters irritating. Viconia doesn't bother me so much in contrast, probably because she's an evil drow cleric, and therefore supposed to be off-putting. I like her magic resistance. The downside is that she doesn't get along with the paladin types. That, and the reputation hit, which is not good considering that Saerileth tends to watch your rep pretty closely... I was put off by .rar too, until I finally broke down to try some mods that looked interesting. But there are still some pretty good mods in .zip, fortunately.

It's just too annoying to have to download a trial version of an unzip program that is far from standard and completely pointless as it's hardly any use beyond one or two game mods. zip is the standard format because it works and there are plenty of free zip extractors. That's good enough for me

...And Tutu doesn't seem to want to work for me, annoyingly. Oh, well. C'est la vie

Never played with Tutu, but then I haven't bothered with BG1 for some time.
Sounds like the sort of mod that could easily be bug-ridden, though...

On the bright side though - there's still Stronghold to slaughter me! Errrr... I mean... For me to beat! ;D

Yes, there's certainly that. Still need to get through Ascension, which I hear isn't easy... especially since there's the option to make the Bhaalspawn battles harder if you want. I really want to get my way back through the end eventually... That Saerileth is such a temptress, I tell you. ;D

Currently I’m playing: Gothic 1 – Very good game, it is but isn’t a true RPG, but great nonetheless. I would seriously discourage anyone from playing this game if you are one of those people who has no patience. You will die often in this game and it requires a TON of tactics. Gothic 2 + Night of the Raven – This is a great game also, but in order for it to be a great game you must have the expansion “Night of the Raven” also installed. Without the expansion G2 is a so, so game. The expansion makes that much of a difference. The expansion does not add an extra section in the game, the expansion changes the entire G2 game altogether! Baldur’s Gate II SoA/ToB + (Shadows over Soubar and The Darkest Day). What can I say, this game just totally rocks! I never get bored with it at all. For those of you that has installed the “Tactics, Ascension, Redemption, or any of the Tougher harder mods, ESPECIALLY the Tougher harder Sendi mod,” I weep for you. You might as well have pulled out the Cat-of-Nine tales and simply flagellate yourself! That Tougher harder Sendi mod is the hardest to beat mod made! Tsel

You all won't believe what game my fiance got me interested in - Monster Rancher 3! He played the first one a long time ago, but just recently found the second game. When he asked the store clerk if there were more, we found out that there's been a whole lot. So he started looking for the third game. He found it yesterday and showed it to me. I actually liked it. I played it from about 8:30 till past midnight! I've watched him play the first two, which are PS1, and I didn't like them, but this one is PS2 and it looks so much better and is much more streamlined. That and that first disc we put in gave me a very cute, pink angelfish-like creature. So I called her Cutie. hehe... So much for Suikoden, I'll be playing this for a while. ;D

Sarah, If you don't want to play Suikoden anymore, please send me the second game, please. You know my address. Phil

Sarah, If you don't want to play Suikoden anymore, please send me the second game, please. You know my address. Phil LOL! There's more than one reason why I'm playing the 4th Suikoden. Will is playing the second one right now, but when I started on 4, he was playing 1. So when I finish 4, I'll start on 1. By that time, Will will have finished 3 and be ready for 4! LOL! Chronologically, according to the story, I'm playing the first game, since it takes place 100 years before the 1st game.

Everquest.

Really? That's interesting. Yup, the 4th game jumps back in time to 100 years before the events in game 1. So I didn't make that bad of a choice when starting with the newest one ;D Dragonlord - I played EverQuest when it first came out. I had a lot of fun, yet hated the game so much. Glad I got out of it. But because of Nostalgia, I'm glad to see the game has prospered so much and continues to grow strong.

They've changed alot about the game since I started playing and I think that most of what you hated has probably been changed (unless it was the people). SOE is now trying to get their customer service up to scratch.
