I do know that the version of BD in the German "Gold Games" compilation has NO starforce in it.
I don't know of any other versions without it.

We really need them to remove the CDCheck of StarForce in the versions of BD that are ALREADY out there. Kind of like what X3 did. It would be nice...

Yeah, I just saw the video. Kinda cool and awesome. Hmmm... hopefully, this doesn't fall victim to become yet another dark and boring rpg.

Many RPG's have been boring...dark, bubbly, gruesome...doesn't really matter crap is crap

Yeah, exactly. "Boring" and "dark" don't necessarily go hand in hand. Actually, since most RPGs tend toward bubbly-fluffy-generic-fantasy-crap, those tend to be the ones that are tedious to trudge through.

Why can't it be light and serious at the same time ?
Sounds as if no-one had tried this path yet.
Everything that claims to be "serious" also is "dark".

Why can't it be light and serious at the same time ? Sounds as if no-one had tried this path yet. Because when you try that, unless the writers and directions involved are really really good, you get a mentally stunted, drooling bastard child like... oh yes. Beyond Divinity. Tries to be both, succeeds at neither, an utter failure at combining comedy with serious drama. Damn, it's been a long time but I still want my money back. I should've just pirated BD. Now that was a game that should have been aborted in the first trimester.

Well, personally I wouldn't translate "Ego" with "mind" ... "Ego" has here rather the meaning of ... well, ego. Kind of what you are, self-esteem or so ... Different to explain ...

I'm assuming it's Latin rather than German. Could be wrong though, of course...

I the RPGWatch forum one reminded me of something I don't quite remember ... But it was from the devs and included shape-shifting into a Dragon ...

Larian have just updated their side, and are telling us to "Get ready for something cool." Lynn says in a forum post that we'll soon get a look at what they've been working on... Should be good
