Hayley does not write her own songs. Other than that... You'd be entirely wrong Several of those play instruments, too Are you sure you are not mistaking an offbeat style for actual talent? ;D Good question, I think that an "offbeat" (original) style is part of the actual talent package. Are you saying originality is overrated? I guess some of us are pleased by what we as a culture see as talent and others seek out originality? I'm only curious because most of these girls seem to be teenie bop music , I guess I just figured you to be a more of an adult contemporary kind of guy ;D Seriously, I listen to a pretty wide range, from classical and operetta through to bubblegum pop and heavy metal. Most of my latest discoveries are indeed young and female, but that's because it's the girls making the best music right now. In the 80s & 90s I was listening almost entirely to male groups (Mostly metal & hard rock). I've always loved operetta - particularly the works of Gilbert & Sullivan. So you never can tell about someone's musical tastes You might want to check out Sophie B Hawkins, BTW. One singer I like who you might appreciate, too

Can say I wasn't very impressed by Tori Amos (didn't listen very intenslly though, and not for very long either ;D). Currentlly listening to Björk (her second album, Post). Now, there's a female singer for you! She's got everything you'd might ask for (apart from dark male singing, but I don't really think you'd ask for that ). Übereil

Kicking it with KMFDM Hau Ruck on their Hau Ruck CD. ;D "Hau Ruck " ? ;D Do you know what that means ? ;D "Hau Ruck" is a German expression that people use when for example they try to pull or throw or saw through something *very* heavy, or in general doing difficult things ... - it's like a kind of encouraging shout.

Yes, The Translasion to Hau Ruck in America is 'Heave Ho'. Although, Heave Ho has other meanings too, but it is the proper American translation to the German Hau Ruck. Still listening to KMFDM Song: Urban Monkey Warfare

Well my father had them all the time, and i just picked some cd´s from father and listened to them, i remembered the songs, but i´m bad at remembering the band names or artist names and i often accidently mix some bands. Btw i didn´t remember that Dire Straits were the band Mark Knopfler was in

..... you ever listened to portishead? Portishead ..... that's trip-hop (whatever genre they like to call it) & i like the dark sound the band makes. DJ Shadow is so far my fav in the same genre. he has released his latest album barely a week ago. can't recall the name of the album but i'm sure it is definitely a mind f**k. sorry for that but i can't think of a word for something more extreme than way out. 'cos DJ Shadow is just THAT good. do check out his previous albums - Private Press, Entroducing ......
