That's very true. Zabuza said that Kakashi >>has seen, copied, and memorized over 1000 ninja spells.<<
Certainly a very daunting task to have to take Kakashi on, which, I guess, is why he's such a legend at Konoha.

By the way people, I just realized something. If you guys are interested enough and would like to learn more about Kakashi's past, there is a six-part "Kakashi gaiden" storyline that you guys can read without spoiling anything for yourself in the rest of the series.
It's actually very late in the series. Chapters 239 - 244. But it spoils nothing else in the series.
So if you would like to jump ahead and read that, it's fine. :-)
It really does help you understand Kakashi the character a bit more.

He's really dangerous. You'd need serious power and skill to have any hope at all. My other characters would have a better shot, especially since their powers aren't magical. Amy with her old powers would probably win. I don't think Kakashi has much defense against a girl who could run at Mach 3.

Sounds interesting, Phil. I actually rather like Kakashi, so I might do that.

Heh. Kakashi's cool. Just one warning though. The packages of "extra colored stuff" that come with these chapters MAY spoil stuff to you. They are fan-colored stuff of such things as covers or pages from previous chapters. So when you download these, don't look into these. They usually come in folders called "extra" or "special" or something like that. edit - and you might want to finish the Wave County storyline first.

"Shadow Doppleganger"?!?!? Oh my... Shantara, I would like to ear your comments about Gaara's character, since you've read lots of chapters. Remember to put spoiler tags for the others who are behind, though. Now, here you are other characters in my favourite list after Naruto, Gaara and Shikamaru: 4) Lee - he's so nice, polite and strong-willed (sp?) that one can't not love him! 5) Jiraiya (he is introduced later in the series, I like both his looks and attitude, and his role in the story too) 6) Third Hokage (he represents the values of the Leaf Village, best Hokage ever!). Chapter 299 HQ raw is out, so I'll be busy with the cleaning the next few days. P.S. Phil, your drawing of Gaara and Kankurou is really good! If you want, I can post my Gaara fanart here, but you already saw it in the fanart gallery on Narutofan, maybe. ^^

"Shadow Doppleganger"?!?!? Oh my... Is it that really different from Shadow Clones? You could really translate "Kage Bunshin" either way... I'm more annoyed by Viz's translations of the OTHER characters' techniques in the series. Trust me, you don't want to know. Haha, I did really start to like Rock Lee later in the series. Jiraiya is one of the best characters, though. And the Third Hokage was really impressive at one point of the series, but I can't say too much here. 299?!! Did 270-298 come out while I wasn't looking? Oh, you meant Chapter 269. Shoot, and you got my hopes all up..... You could post it in "Your Art forum." I moderate it. In fact I'd love it if you did.

Then I'll post it there. And about the chapter, sorry I did mean chapter 269 of course. Now I'm waiting that Terramare or Manetheren give us cleaners the start to clean chapter 270...

I still haven't read the newest SJ, so I don't have any new comments on Naruto. Haven't read RK vol 17 either... just no time....

Geez, I hope I never get as busy as you seem to be these days Silva. Shonen Jump was pretty good this month. BoBoBo-Bo BoBo was pretty weird though.

I only glanced through the Bobo preview - it's really not my thing.
I started Sj a few days ago, but had to stop in the middle of Naruto to go somewhere. Haven't picked it up since. Now I'm torn between SJ, 2000 AD and RK - don't know which I'll pick up next.
{edit} I decided to atleast finish Naruto. So here are my comments for chapters 67 & 68
Pretty intense fight for Sasuke. I can't believe he picked up Lee's fighting moves so quickly. And I'm very surprised he surpressed the curse mark. I really hope that Kakashi can help with the curse mark. I just wonder if sealing it away will be the end of it, probably not though.
Not sure how I feel about the next match considering I don't know those characters. Hopefully it'll enlighten me, help me get to know the characters more. Or just be short so it can get onto other characters.
And I don't know about you, but I find it annoying when there's a string of panels with just people's faces - reactions to what's going on. For some reason it's bugging me as to how often it's being used. Feels like they're just there to fill up space. I'm assuming it's to add suspense and drama to the sequence, but it's just annoying me.

I only glanced through the Bobo preview - it's really not my thing. It's not mine either! Well, this RK volume I think concludes the whole Kyoto storyline (at least judging by the cover of the next volume which seemingly has them off on a different adventure) so maybe that's the way to go now, eh? [/color] I was pretty surprised that Sasuke could adapt to a fighting technique like Lees's so quickly, too. Lee was pretty impressed with that, and even frightened. But I liked that they showed why the Uchiha clan was such an elite ninja clan. If a boy from that clan could do stuff like that... though Sasuke IS pretty special, even for an Uchiha. The fights will enlighten you for the most part, yes. It's now time to get to know everybody. Yoroi was an exception though, because he was kind of a flunky and Kishimoto didn't plan to use him again for the rest of the series.Hmm... I enjoyed that, because it's like... well, I am an artist and visual person, though. Maybe it is a tad over-done in Naruto... but y'know, there's so many characters involved in this storyline right now, if we didn't see their faces every now and then we might forget about them. I think Kishimoto did a good job of not allowing that to happen.

Sariachan Spoiler: You asked me what I thought about the character Gaara. I'm not really sure about him. At first I didn't like him. He seemed very arrogant and just a cold blooded killer. Then as I learned more about him I began to feel sorrow for him. It isn't his fault that he is the way he is. I blame his father. I think he deserves more from life than what he has been given. What must it be like to know that your father wants you killed, dead, gone, out of the way. He experimented with your life, but since it didn't turn out the way he expected he wants you dead. That would have to have a big impact on Gaara.
Gaara is a very well written character. There seems to be alot more to him than what you see on the surface. Something that is maybe yet to be shown.
In the story that I have just finished, I think he learned alot from Naruto (about caring for others rather than just yourself) This seemed to be so foreign to him and something that I don't think he quite understands yet, but maybe something that will come out in future stories. Those are my thoughts right now. They may change as the stories go on, I don't know. I have just started chapter 139, so I guess I will see. Shan
