We have snow! That is something we rarely ever see in Central Texas. The weather is below freezing and I hate it. The only saving grace is that we don't have to work and we have several unwatched DVDs. And we have electricity and water -- something a friend in Missouri is without. About 10 years ago we lost power in an ice storm and were consequently without heat in freezing weather for days. How the Native Americans tolerated the extremes of weather (and mosquitos) is a marvel to me. I live down south partly because I hate this kind of weather. The sparrows are out in the snow; we feed them. One dove had her tail feathers all icy! I haven't seen the deer today, but yesterday they didn't seem to mind the cold. They want to eat the seed we put out for the birds and we chase them away. (The deer usually get to eat all our table scraps so don't feel sorry for them.) Oh well.

You can send it to me. I will take all I can get. Oh, and I'm sorry you are having such miserable weather especially since you don't enjoy it.

I'm with you ss. I'll take the snow any day.
Ice storms I can live without. Too much damage done so quickly in an ice storm.

Sorry to hear about the people who lost their lives in the blizzard. It is very sad when something like that happens. I am glad that you and your family are safe at home. You're right never leave your car in storms like that. It is one of the most dangerous things a person can do. I love weather conditions like that. It is awesome to and beautiful to watch. Love you pics too. Cool kitty pic. So cute looking out the window like that. Stay safe, warm, cozy and enjoy the snow.

So sorry to hear about people dying in the blizzard
Here it's like spring or autumn again, rain, warm temps up to 14°C. The roses are starting to come out already, allthought it's way to early for that. The fauna is mixed up, is it time to start breeding again or what? My chickens had laid eggs the entire winter, while they don't give us one egg during the summer. Mother Nature is taking her revenge on us people, the ones who destroyed this beautiful planet. Slowly but surely.

Sorry to hear about the loss of death. An unfortunate effect of the extreme weather Anyone knows how the weather is in Michigan, btw? Cause it seems that hell may have finally frozen over...

We lost our electricity last night (while I was browsing the forum) and just got it back after about 12 hours. Since we use an electric heat pump, it got very cold and I walked around with a down vest on inside the house.

Yep, it's pretty nice over here in southern california. Although it did just snow in Malibu. How weird is that? Hopefully to all you northerners the weather will clear up soon!
