No, the Bulls are from Chicago, I got into basketball while that Michael Jordan guy was playing.

The Spurs are creeping up on 2nd seed, and if Dallas wins tomorrow over Phoenix they will be only 1 game away I believe. This is the only time I will be rooting for Dallas to win a game.

We could have been the second seed today, but no we had to choke instead. Ben Gordon apparently thinks he can dribble like AI... it's the only excuse I can think of for his [Censored] play at the end of regulation and OT. We had that [Censored]ing game and let it get away.
UGHHHHHHHH!!!

The Phoenix Suns looked incredible on offense today against the Mavs. They play the Spurs later this week and that will be a great game. I'd like to see how the Spurs do defense against them.

I couldn't watch or listen to the game last night--Spurs vs. Suns. I had been impressed with the Suns after seeing how they beat Dallas and I'd like to know what they did to keep the Suns in line.

I cannot believe the absolute boneheaded technical foul called on Tim Duncan today against the Mavs. For goodness sake--he was sitting on the bench, and all he did was laugh.

"NBA referee Joey Crawford has been indefinitely suspended for improper conduct toward Tim Duncan during the San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks game on April 15, it was announced today by NBA Commissioner David Stern."
Venom, you still watch basketball?

Yes, of course I do cle, I just haven't had time to watch much outside of my Bulls lately. I did see the incident with Duncan, and I'm glad that Crawford is being punished for his ridiculous call. Crawford is usually a good ref, but he definitely can't be calling anymore Spurs games.
In the meantime, we control our own destiny. We beat New Jersey tonight and we'll be the second seed in the East!

I don't get it. Both Chicago and Cleveland are 49 and 32 in their win loss record and yet Chicago is 2nd and Cleveland is 5th; teams with poorer records are ahead of the Cavaliers in the seeding.
Congrats to the Bulls. They should sail through the 1st round of the playoffs. And with their record, they would have made the playoffs even if they had been in the West.
The Mavs will take 6-7 games to beat the Warriors, and it is not outside the realm of possibility that the Warriors could beat them--which would be very sweet for the Spurs. It is interesting that the Mavs chose to contest the Spurs but not the Warriors this week in their last 2 games.

However, Cleveland will still get home court advantage vs the heat i think since they have the better record.

Yes, we have the tie breaker advantage... against every team in the East I'm pretty sure. The rule for the NBA is the division winners get 3 of the top 4 seeds, which is why Cleveland is currently 5th. But Cleveland will get home court advantage in the first round against the Heat... if nothing changes tonight.

I shouldn't be surprised, of course we had the chance to do something great, but it was just easier to lay down, lube it up, take it in the ass, and die. Like all my favorite teams always do.

I'll make picks after I think about it a little bit more. You had better make them soon. The games start today. I'll be watching the ones broadcast on ABC, and listening to Spurs games (not on ABC) on the radio--sadly not the same. Maybe I can find a place to go see them.

Heh, ok, ok, I forgot the games were coming up so fast, but I still have 40 minutes!!
West: Mavs, Spurs, Suns, and Rockets.
East: Pistons, Bulls, Cans, and Raptors.
I know we have the exact same picks, but this really is how I feel about them, but perhaps we'll differ for round 2.

In the 1st quarter, Chicago made some sloppy passes and I thought, uh oh, but Miami just wasn't strong enough. I hadn't seen Dwayne Wade play since last year's championship; he only looked really good for a couple of runs. I don't think it was the defense though. I bet that shoulder is affecting his play. And during one camera shot when he was walking on to the court in the third or fourth quarter he looked to me like he was limping. The camera only showed the top half of his body, but he appeared to be rocking from side to side as though he was limping.
Anyway, congrats to your Bulls.
Another prediction: If GSW loses to the Mavs, then the victor in the West will be decided by the winner of the Spurs vs. the Mavs.

the Raptors played so bad yesterday. Just gave away their home court. Carter played like crap just like he alwats does in Toronto, and they still won. Bosh needs to step it up and stop settling.
The rest of the playoffs though, I agree with your guys predictions for the most part. Deep down though I want to Suns to win the championship. I just love Nash and Barbosa and Amare is amazing. So hopefully they can do something good this year.

Sorry for your Raptors. The Suns won't get past the Spurs, though they should do fine with The Lakers. Kobe's presence should make it interesting.
I have broken down and ordered cable TV so that I can see all of the playoff games that I want. It will be installed on Friday.
