2-1 Spurs
When Karl Malone was nominated MVP instead of MJ, his team, Utah, played MJ's team and was soundly defeated. Same situation here with Marcus Camby getting defensive player of the year instead of Bowen or Duncan--just wait and see. Camby certainly didn't look like the better defender in this game.

Didn't see the game between the NFL draft and Braves baseball.

It was a close game for a long while, but the Spurs controlled the Pace. Then the Spurs pulled away with a 10 point lead, and Denver could never get closer than 5 points. Duncan had several blocked shots to his credit. Ginobli was hot on the free throw line.

What a freakin' game. The Heat were our total [Censored]es this year. BEN FREAKIN' WALLACE hit 7 free throws in a row at the end of the game. 7!!! Once again our defense stepped up when we needed it. Shaq disappeared again, the Heat couldn't hit a free throw to save their life, and we got numerous turnovers.
It's on to Detroit now. I'm confident, we went 3-1 against them this year, our only loss was a 2 point loss at Detroit. We're playing well overall. This should be a great series, I think the two best teams in the East will be going at it.

Yes. If the Bulls beat Detroit then they will take the East.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! The Warriors are one win away from one of the biggest upsets in NBA history!

That was an exciting game! Dirk should give his MVP nomination to Baron.

Another win for San Antonio! I really liked that maneuver by Pop in the last quarter when he took Duncan and Parker out of the game; it totally threw Denver out of synch.

Raps live for another game. Refs were so inconsistent all night. Mavs stayed alive too unfortunately. Can't wait for them to lose.

Now many will applaud the job the Mavs did, but in my mind what sticks out are 2 things. 1. They blew a 21 point lead and came perilously close to losing the game. 2. Dallas won not through their own skill, but through the inability of GS to score baskets. As was pointed out in the postgame show, GS became "reluctant shooters". Had Davis not fouled out, things might have been different.

I agree COMPLETELY. Not only all that, was Dirk even on the court in the second half before the final 2 minutes?
In my mind, Dallas earned a stay of execution at best. I think they're toast in Game 6.

Watch the score at the end of the 1st quarter when The Spurs play the Suns. If the Suns have 22 points or less, then it is a sure bet that San Antonio has control of the game even if they are behind. If the Suns have 30 points, then they are able to overcome the San Antonio defense. Having said that, I am sure that the Suns will not be able to run their preferred game against San Antonio. San Antonio will make them work for their baskets in a way that LA could never do. Also, the Suns looked a bit lazy against LA and might not be in the playoff groove just yet. San Antonio, on the other hand, looked like they were working, adjusting and fine tuning--they are primed to go.
If Dallas loses to GS then the championship will most definitely go to the victor in the San Antonio-Phoenix series. If Dallas manages to hang in there, then they might have a chance. I don't believe the East can beat San Antonio or Phoenix; of course from last year we know they can beat Dallas. A lot might depend on whether being seriously challenged by the 8th seed demoralizes or energizes the Mavs.

117-100 Dallas loses to the Warriors and their winning streak is broken. Apparently the Warriors have beaten Dallas the last 4 out of 5 games. Now, the Warriors could grab the 8th seed in the playoffs which would put them opposite Dallas in the 1st round. Ha! Wouldn't that be an upset if Dallas lost in the 1st round of the playoffs! GOLDEN STATE ROCKS!

Well, Golden State just kicked Dallas ass. I didn't see much of the game since I was watching Spidey, but I didn't miss much. Looks like Dirk is a joke in the playoffs.
History will look on this as perhaps the biggest upset in NBA history, but Charles Barkley mentioned this and I agree. If you saw this, you know the better team won. Think about it, Golden State went 8-2 against Dallas this year. They completely own them.
