July 27th:
Sleeper: Season Two 1-12 Stray Bullets #11 Manhunter #12
I did really good yesterday. I read 14 comics which is A LOT for me.
I had already read the first 5 issues of Sleeper: Season Two, but decided to read them all from the start since I had gotten behind on them. Amazing series, too bad more people didn't read it.
Got Stray Bullets #11 in the mail yesterday, the nly one I was missing from the first 20. Excellent read as is the norm with this series.
I probably would have read at least 20 comics yesterday if I hadn't have gone to the bar. Thank goodness I have my priorities straight! ;D -SHARK DIGGLER

July 29th:
Starman 0-4
I'm missing issue #5, but it's on it's way, bought it on ebay. Pretty good so far, and I can just imagine it's going to get a lot better. Tony Harris has gotten much better since his early work on Starman, as anyone who reads Ex Machina can tell you. -SHARK DIGGLER

August 3rd:
Just finished reading through issue #20 of Books of Magic. Just finished the 'Playgrounds' arc wish was excellent, the series is really starting to roll now.
Really liked Tanger and Crimple, they were a lot of fun. Barbatos was enjoyable as usual, can't wait to see him some more in future issues. Loved Khara and Nikki, love when they show up in Tim's life. Araquel the angel was pretty cool too, not Lucifer, Michael, or even Elaine Bollocks cool, but still pretty cool ;D
Anyway, hopefully I can finish the whole series in the next 2 weeks or so, I'm definitely motivated to keep reading. -SHARK DIGGLER

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Shark I was pretty sure you would, but it's not always easy to be THAT definite. I'd hate to recommend something you loathed

I read the Dead Boy Detectives by Jill Thompson, her second Sandman manga book. Sadly, it was not as good as the Death one. I blame the fact that it was half the size (yet full price). I don't think I'll be in such a rush to get her third book, if she does one.
Now onto Rurouni Kenshin vol 17, the last Shonen Jump and Shojo Beat as well as the very tall stack of 2000 AD and then there's a few misc. recent comics I haven't gotten to... but with the way things are looking, I'll be lucky to get through Rurouni Kenshin this week. *sigh* Wish I could take a break from wedding stuff...

August 8th:
Ex Machina 12-13 Gotham Central 33-34 New Avengers 6-8 Y #36Man, I haven't hardly read much in the last week or so. I went to the bar 6 times last week because all these different bars were having their annual karaoke contests, there's 3 more contests this week so it's going to be another busy week for me. Anyway, Gotham Central is still [Censored]ing awesome! I don't miss Michael Lark at all, Kano is just as good. I'm dropping New Avengers, it's starting to get really stupid. Bendis' Spiderman bugs the [Censored]out of me. Y was good, as usual. Ex Machina is so much fun! I love Mayor Hundred! The conclusion to the jury duty arc should be great. Okay, I'm about ready to begin reading BoM again -SHARK DIGGLER

This is good Oh, and you want 'Mozza' BTW ;D Mozza? I don't think so. Why would I want that? Moz, maybe. Mozza....no. -SHARK DIGGLER

If you want the English spelling, it would be 'Mozza'. You're using a Morrissey nickname, right? Or does it refer to something else?

Typical Morrissey! Can't even spell his own nickname right! ;D El show me somewhere where it says that Morrissey's nickname is spelled Mozza. Everywhere I've ever seen it's spelled Mozzer or Moz for short. I even did a search for the word Mozza and Morrissey didn't come up anywhere. -SHARK DIGGLER

Shark, it would be the normal British spelling. In the same way as 'Gascoigne' becomes 'Gazza' so 'Morrissey' would become 'Mozza'.
I had no idea it was Morrissey's actual nickname (You know my complete indifference to all things Smiths), and I thought you had made it up...

Actually, I did find some places where he is called Mozza. I think I've actually seen people call him Mozza before, but he's called Mozzer a lot more so I just really didn't pay much attention to it. I like Mozzer better.
And El, you know you're a closet Smiths fan! Quit trying to act like you're not. -SHARK DIGGLER

Back to the subject at hand.... August 12th:
Intimates 8-10 Books of Magic 21-26You know, I really like the Intimates, but sometimes those information scrolls they have on the bottom of each page make reading it a pain in thee arse. I think they should cut down on those to where they just have it on about 5-6 pages per issue. That being said, I really liked how the kids spent their summer vacation. Especially Empty Vee, that slut! She's a hottie though I'm about ready to start the Rites of Passage storyline where Tim visits America. He'll be visiting Zatanna, so I know I'll enjoy this arc quite a bit. I really liked issue #25 where Death pays Tim a visit, probably one of my favorite issues so far in the series. Elliot, what were your favourite issues and arcs in the series? -SHARK DIGGLER

Shark... It's a long time since I read them, but the ones that still stand out really well in my mind are: Tim & Molly's visit to Hell Death & Tim by the seadside (The crab 'monster' ) The happiness machine You'll know what I mean when you run across them

August 18th:
100 Bullets 60-63 Books of Magic 27-31 Fables 36-40 Hellboy: The Island 1-2 Losers #25 Manhunter 12-13 Swamp Thing 15-18
Man, 100 bullets [Censored]ing rocked! Staring at the Son was an awesome arc! Too bad Spain died, I really liked him.
I'm still enjoying BoM quite a bit. I'm almost done with the Rites of Passage arc.
Hellboy was okay.
Swamp Thing was really [Censored]ing weird. Looks like Swampy and the Holland Mind are back together, so things should start picking up in this book. -SHARK DIGGLER

I actually read 2 more issues of 2000 AD last night. 1420 and 1421. Pretty good reads, but Dredd still sucks. And the art is so cartoony right now. Hard to take it serious at all. Slaine is pretty hardcore violent and I'm not following the storyline much at all, but I'm trying. Nikolai Dante is rocking and Second City Blues is interesting. I don't read Caballistic Inc.

August 26th:
Atheist #2 Daredevil 75-76 Death Jr. 1-2 Desolation Jones #2 Godland 1-2 (Jesse was right) Hellblazer 207-211 Iron Man #4 Jack Cross #1 Love & Rockets #14 Powers #11 Sea of Red #3 Spellbinders 1-6 Starman 5-8 Strangers in Paradise 73-75 Supreme Power 16-17 Trigger 1-8 True Story Swear To God #14 Ultimates 2 #7 Usagi Yojimbo #85 Walking Dead #21 Warblade 1-5 (Thanks, Perry!)Wow. I read 50 comic books in the last week! That's a lot for me. Probably the most I've ever read in a week. Going down the list: Atheist is [Censored]ing awesome! I highly recommend this to guys like Elliot, Steve, Duncan, Jesse, Brett, and Perry. One of the top ten comics being published right now. Easily. Daredevil's been decent. Liked the way the last arc ended. Like the way Bendis' last arc started. Still, looking forward to Bru and Lark Desolation Jones is great. But I expect that from anything written by Warren Ellis. Best new character of the year? Best new comic? Probably. Godland's a lot of fun! This is better than The Intimates. Probably will be better than Wildcats 3.0, if it already isn't. Great characters, espeacially the villain.... the skull dude... Nickelhead?.... F#CK! Hellblazer has been awesome! Are Greg and I the only ones here reading it? Hope not, it's gotten really good. [Censored]ing Elliot. He's a Brit and doesn't [Censored]ing read Hellblazer and doesn't like The Smiths Might as well be Irish! ;D Jack Cross was very good. You guys need to get this. Spellbinders wasn't bad, better than I expected. Like Steve, I hope we get to see these characters again. Trigger had so much potential. Too bad it never really got a chance. Perry, I finally read the Warblade comics you sent me! It only took what, 8 months? It wasn't bad. I'd probably give it a 6. Thanks for sending those -SHARK DIGGLER
